Google Maps Zoom Feature Renamed, to Address Privacy Concerns

A Boing Boing reader is freaked out that Google Maps is spying on his cat. The article offers some interesting insights on the different aspects of this situation

To address privacy issues and step up competition with Microsoft operating systems, Google will rename Google Maps zoom feature to Google Windows Peeping.

It was overheard that Google would address privacy issues by just telling the world that yes they are spying in your window at your cat.

It is said that Google is threatened by the new startup I can has cheezburger, and look to start creating the worlds largest repository of cat pictures. A separate team will be tasked with creating the code for  lolcats language to post on the pictures.

OK – not really, but I thought the new name coined by Chris of Solo Technology in the comments was too good not to write up.
