Early Summer Hunter Jumper Classic

Nicole competed in the Early Summer Hunter Jumper Classic #2 this past week, and she did very well for her first A Level show. She won two 6th place ribbons.

The horse she normally rides – Samson, came up lame after the second day, so Nicole had to switch horses. Even though she was upset and concerned about her horse, she still managed to win a second 6th place ribbon on Guy, a horse she had not ridden in a while.

I posted all the pictures that I took of the Eclipse Team lead by Kathleen Dodd on flickr.

I was amazed to watch the professional riders jump fences of 4’6″ and higher, the riders and their horses were well trained.

I am very proud to have watched Nicole do such a great job. She had to switch horses in the middle of the show, and still managed to win another ribbon. This was Nicole’s first A show and although it was a long 5 days, but I look forward to watching her compete in the future.
