For Best Vista Performance Buy An Apple MacBook Pro

AppleMacBookPro-PCWorld

PC World published The Most Notable Notebooks of 2007, and I find the following quote is very interesting.

The fastest Windows Vista notebook we’ve tested this year is a Mac. Try that again: The fastest Windows Vista notebook we’ve tested this year–or for that matter, ever–is a Mac.

Scott Beale of Laughing Squid agrees with the review on PC World in his post PC World: Fastest Vista Laptop, An Apple MacBook Pro.

Since I started using Bootcamp last spring, I’ve been saying that the best Windows machine I’ve ever owned is my Mac, especially now with VMware.

I have friends that run Macs, and they talk about performance and experience. Overall they seem happy with their systems. Most of my software investment is Windows oriented, so at this time it would be hard and expensive to start over at this point.

The PC World review sounds like a pretty positive to me. I know that when I am ready for my next machine, I will have to seriously consider a Mac. I am typically a Windows user, and do not have much Mac experience, but the cost is a little too much to buy a machine just to play with. Now that I know that the Mac has better performance running Windows Vista, I will reconsider purchasing a Mac. I can purchase a Mac and yet still run Windows Vista and all my Windows applications.

Is it time for Windows users to start purchasing Macs?

Last year I met quite a few of the people in my Advanced Dreamweaver class that ran Windows on their Mac’s. In fact my instructor brought his MacBook Pro to class every day and after seeing his and playing around on it that is what made me move to get my MacBook Pro ASAP.

Anywa the people who used Windows Os on their Mac’s said that Windows performed a lot better. I just bought a PC when I need to use Windows I use that. I don’t use it often. I’ve heard good things about Parallels.

Opal – As I said with this information I am going to seriously consider a Mac for my next purchase. With Parallels and VMWare out there, there are quite a few solutions that will let me run Vista on the Mac hardware.

It is all about buying the best tools, and if the Mac ends up being the best tool, I would be happy to buy it.

My mother has a Vista and I have a Mac.
I probably have more information than her (Because I use photoshop, and many photographs) And My mother HARDLY has anything.

But her vista is still slow on startup.
And Plus, She is having loads of problems with “Wire-less” internet, While i got mine to work in 1 min.

    And Macs dont get viruses!
Well not as much as Windows anyway!

    xx

klubmed – Thanks for commenting. From the article from PC Worls it seems that Macs do run Vista faster. Being a Windows person myself, I find this very interesting, and it definitely makes me want to look at purchasing a Mac as my next computer. You use your Mac to do image editing, that is one thing that Macs accel at – image, audio and video editing.
